Contemporary or ancient, it makes no different to God who is not bound by time. Satan didn’t pull a fast one on God and the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob didn’t get lost in the shuffle of history.

Same God. Same Scripture. Same family. Same Messiah returning to the same people group in the same land.

They spat on Jesus in His day and He said Father forgive them and commanded you to do the same.
