Indiana fren here.
The machines we used to cast our ballots were of the same make as they've been for years. However, this time, it printed my ballot, which I got to verify before I submitted it. This is a first.
Anyone else experience anything different with the voting process?
Back in '22 the machines in my area changed. Now it prints paper that we have to review and feed into a separate scanner ourselves. Zero trust anyway as we know that it's after the scanner that the vote flipping happens.
Precisely. You only print, what you want someone to see. Whatever algorithm runs in the background, is hidden from view.
