Spit-balling:

Election day polling place failures.

Dwindling number of registered voters to claim swung the vote to Harris. If 100 million vote early there are only 35 million left to effect the steal. Since people are now aware of these numbers well before 3am Wednesday morning, just adding extra ballots becomes problematic.
