the normies being so stupid to believe that the election process is legit*
I wouldn't sell the normtards quite so short, actually.
In fact something they covered in the podcast last night was election fraud an/or interference - in fact, they actually devoted a substantial amount of time to it, now that I think back.
Trump asked Joe his thoughts, and how he explains that position. Joe explained his perspective is that no one believes there is ZERO election fraud, everyone sees what a complicated mess of shit they have turned the elections into in the name of "efficiency and streamlining" the process
It's an issue of magnitude- people range between thinking it is a smaller, trivial amount of cheating to calling the whole shebang is phony and manipulated.
But basically nobody actually thinks there is no cheating or shenanigans AT ALL and I am inclined to agree with that, even if the more palatable forms of election interference for the general audience is stuff like Google suppression and throttling of updates and reminders for non-liberal voters or censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Sophisticated CIA programs to alter national totals, algos tha vote switch with extreme subtlety and no trace left behind, election machines with dozens od compromises built-in such as remote accessibility, mail-in signature checking with tampered machines that approve a single line made in the box....
They don't know all that quite yet, but at least they all DO KNOW from 2020 that something is not quite right with what is going on. The mistrust is universal by now.
