Yep, I'm the guy who deleted this post on X, quoted verbatim from Reddit, after JD Vance reposted it. Why did I do that? Because it was turning into a MAGA frenzy attacking polling laws and workers. /1
My post was intended as criticism of abusive behavior toward poll workers. MAGA began to weaponize the thread. calling her a hero/patriot. People were arguing back but I can tell when a tweet is getting weaponized in a bad/ unintended way. It takes on a feeding frenzy quality. /2
Extremists on X were not happy that I deleted the thread just as they started to run with it. I've been hearing from them./3
