My wife and I vacationed once on the island of PR, and I fully agree with what the comedian said. We put on over 1,000 miles on the rental car, and completely drove around the entire island. I have never seen so much trash everywhere. It was systemic...hanging in the trees around the fort, washed up on the shores and caught between the rocks, ditches along the sides of the roads full of it, and paper and plastic trash blowing in the wind in open areas just about everywhere you looked.

This single aspect told me a lot about the people who live there, their work ethic, and pride. I was not impressed to say the least.
