SCOTUS has made it clear states cannot limit our 1A rights. Wearing political gear is part of the expression of your 1A.
I'm in a state where it's "illegal" to wear political slogans within 100 feet of polling stations. I've voted in the last 3 elections wearing political gear, I early voted this election wearing a MAGA hat. I had no problems whatsoever despite signs being all over the place saying it wasn't allowed.
Trying to supercede the constitution is what's really illegal, and it's our duty as Americans to not abide.
