As someone who was born and raised in the ex-USSR, I can tell that these people minority.
In reality most Russians supported the Soviet government and they view the dissolution of the USSR as the biggest geopolitical disaster of the 20th century. Even Putin backs this sentiment.
The funniest thing is that most Russian conservatives support the USSR(the same ones that are ultra religious). To go one step further, they think Stalin is the best leader Russia ever had, beating out Alexander Nevskii and Peter I(narrowly by 1% according to their most reliable pollster)
I can tell you that there a lot of misconceptions people on this board have about USSR in general one of the main one being that Russians didn't support it. If anything, what you wrote was true for the Tsarist government which was basically an oligarchic nightmare, something the dems are looking to turn us into.
Having listened to all opinions, I conclude that the Russian people suffered far more damage under the Bolsheviks than under the Romanovs.
When you 'get it' that Russia & Putin just want to be left TF alone, you'll quickly join the dots. What's underway simply can''t be done without the CIS.
If you don't get what I'm saying here then, please, continue to consider that Kampala bloke as a genius. Too tired for proofreading & typos. Zzzzzzzzzz.
Please expand more or make a post. Thing is, history books vs on the ground from those who lived it are usually very separate things. 1st hand knowledge is important. So much of what we know is from western historians, very few of us history buffs study source Russian language materials.
There is a lot to write on the subject, but I don't think the board is ready for such a post. I will write a brief post about it tough. This is about USSR only, since I don't have much knowledge on China, NK or Cuba.
Have you ever noticed how all the based countries in Europe are part of the commie bloc? Poland, Belarus, Russia, Hungary, etc Ever wondered why?
We are always told how the commies did their absolute best to destroy these countries, but what if the reality if an exact 180. What if they were trying to preserve them and their cultures? What if the poltiical prisoners they were imprisoning were nothing more than leftist extremist elements akin to Mandela who were simply trying to destroy their own country?(something they are still trying to do to this day)
We can clearly see that these countries have no sense of guilt when it comes to their heritage. And there is a reason for that: commies focused on opposing the globalist elites who wanted to destroy and take control of Russia and eastern Europe for decades.
It all started with one man, Stalin. Ever wonder why he is abolutely demonized by everyone(including the left), but not Lenin? You're about to find out why.
After the 1917 Revolution, Lenin and his zionist buddies took control of the largest country on the planet. The plan was simple: use a Russian as the face of the revolution, while the zionists run everything from the shadows. Once the civil war cools, replace him with Trotskii and have communism spread worldwide and create the cabal wet dream of one world government with no Christianity.
This plan obviously failed, because Stalin proved to be way more cunning and influential than the globalists expected. He took control of power and he basically did everything Q prommised he would do.
Remember the Gulags? Did you know that the original gulags were created for the reeducation of gay people. As a matter of fact, Stalin completely canceled the LGBTQ freedoms Lenin and Trotskii created. Prior to Stalin, Moscow and Petrograd were far more degenerate than anything comming from the Weimar Republic.
The purges? Did you know that most of the people who were purged were actual zionist jews and their supporters? Yagoda, Trostkii, Tulkhashevskii, etc to name a few more influential ones. You probably know this, but when the 1917 revolution happened, zionists represented 90% of the apparatus. After Stalin's death it was less than 1%.
I can go on and on, but in a nutshell, Stalin was a Qadafi of his day. The man cared for his people and achieved some very impressive feats. He took on a country torn by WWI and civil war and left it as the 2nd most country on the planed, winner of WWII and nuclear power. The literacy went up from 15% to 95% by the time of his death. He also attached to ruble to the gold standard which allowed him to achieve quiet a bit of prosperity.
But his biggest achievement was the complete destruction of the cabal in the USSR sphere of influence. As a result: no porn, no drugs, no weird masonic symbolism in cartoons, no violence on tv, no gay messaging, no white shaming, a simple traditional society. There is a reason the old timers say: back in the day, we never had to worry about tomorrow. We had no fear or uncertainty.
Eventually though the cabal will win and install their agent: Boris Yeltsin, a far left radical and useful idiot who almost destroyed Russia. Think of him as the Biden of his day, except he got a full 8 years with unlimited power. In his last bit of pride, he will realize that he was used like a pawn, and appoint Putin as his successor and the rest is history as they say.

Disagree. The reason they are even a super power these days can be attributed to one man: Stalin.
