How does the author know we would be voting for Mike Pence right now? The truth is that Donald Trump is a kingmaker and could pick anybody to succeed him. I honestly think he personally selects and promotes JD Vance to be the next President. The interesting thing is that this cartoon is set at a McDonalds Drive thru manned by Donald Trump.

Aren't they all tongue in cheek? Seriously, we have no evidence that President Trump wanted Mike Pence to succeed him as President. All we have is evidence that Trump despises Pence following the betrayal.
