Nothing is guaranteed. You have to Think about it like chess, (game theory) just because you see a win in five or six moves, the other side still has moves they can make that will harm you.
Leaving them in the game, to be able to make moves at all, is a great error. They need to stop playing with these people and do what needs to be done. Humanity and the world is on the line and they worry about optics? Worry about winning.
