I wonder if a cure doesn't exist for my disease, much like many others, that isn't propagated because it's not profitable.

My eldest son developed type 1 aged 18, I'd like to know this also..
Most people don't understand type 1 is NOT caused by diet or lifestyle, that's type 2.
Type 2 can be reversed via lifestyle/diet
Type 1 is irreversible and life threatening
My son also suddenly came down with type 1 at 16 yrs old. It was shortly after his mother took him to a doctor for a acne treatment." i think that was the cause' I see most of the answers here are addressing type 2. type 1 the pancreas cells are destroyed., meaning they don't make insulin...
What meds were given that you think caused it?
Not sure it was a while back , but I know it was antibiotic,
