I've voted for some crappy people before...George W, Mitt Romney, John McCain all come to mind. But W ran against Gore, and Romney and McCain ran against Obama. Until Trump came along, voting seemed ridiculous. Lesser of the evils was all we got. So it's NICE to vote for something you can actually believe it. Glad you got in on it!
But screw it! I JUST VOTED FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!! Some folks have been really mean and hateful to others who admitted they never voted before, telling them they dont love their country etc.....I dont care what anyone thinks anymore!!!

My youngest daughter voting for the first time with he husband, he's prior Marine and explained to her why she needed to vote, of course she's heard it from me for years, may have hit different coming from her hubby.
She voted when it counted the very most!!! Good for her and for everything coming to a head that allows someone who never thought their vote mattered, but realized it does!
Don't feel bad. We are all much more awake than 10 or even 20 years ago. I have always been cynical and have known about the Uniparty for many years and I thought I was very well-informed, but it took Covid and the 2020 coup before I fully realized how corrupt and evil the system actually is. We are witnessing its destruction!
