did he fail? he has continued to be a symbol of the fight against tyranny, without which our movement would not be the same. part of the plan?
That symbol is utter bullshit when you look at the historical Guy Fawkes. While he was rightfully opposing the tyranny of King James I, he was attempting to bring back the tyranny of the Papacy. Is it really a symbol of fighting tyranny when all he was trying to do was replace one tyrant with another?
"I don't like your tyrant, I prefer mine!"
And interesting we see the "Anonymous" clown group today who is CIA using that mask.
Tons of articles have been written on this, look into it

oh good lord. who cares about your purity tests. doing God's work for God's plan, and creating movements that later become co-opted by tyrants... that's exacty how this works.
the proud boys call themselves MAGA. does that mean MAGA is a fed?
the catholic church was infiltrated exactly because it was a major force for good. just like the republican party.
there are fake christians. there are fake catholics. there are fake republicans. there are fake anons. there is fake maga. Judas was a bloody disciple.
discernment is far more important than this purity BS.
Respectfully I must disagree. As to Fawkes if he had been victorious, which was obviously NOT God's plan, as it failed, we might very well have never had a nation to begin with. It was thanks to the Protestants that America was founded and the Constitution could NEVER have been established under Papal subjugation, which is exactly what Fawkes was trying to restore! Say what one may about the abuses under King James I, they pale in comparison to what the Popes of Rome did to the world for centuries prior.
But where are we now?
Trusting a plan to make the world better than ever, in which Fawkes has played a part. He may have failed in his own estimation, but he didn't fail us. That's how God uses people. Not according to man's will, but according to His.
