the issue here is stealing. Stealing implies two things:
the object stolen is rightfully someone else' s property
the one subject to the steal did nothing to prevent it, thereby setting up a basis on which the thief could reasonably assume to have mandate to take it.
Your focus is on no.1. My focus is on no.2. Why? Because the system is setup so, that protest against the taking is either:
falling on deaf ears
the hurdle of putting it into evidence is high
your means of enforcement of your rights have been eroded.
Putting a system back on the footing of right-respecting, requires abolishment of it. Before that can happen, people need to right themselves. And to do that both no 1 and 2 are needed.
I'll have to see if I can find the video that showed how your #2 came to be. It showed small towns growing into larger towns, and highlighted the structure and template for control, like the sheriff and incorporation - one by one, replicated over and over until the entire land was blanketed in a matrix of "municipal control"...
It had a southern "down home" kinda slow pace to the video... which brilliantly illustrated the proverbial "frog in a pot set to boil" sort of creep as it all went down. I'll have to search for it again...

Thanks for the thoughtful insights RTS...
I agree 100%

Wow, Of course it happened that way, slowly creeping ...
It would be great if you can find it and post it here. I would be most interested in seeing it.
