Hattiesburg MS Mayor Toby Barker, things just don’t add up. Prior Republican, now Independent best I can figure, but very liberal in policy (overrode Governor to keep mask mandate in place…) and involved in several NGOs that are hard to follow the money. Please help either ease my mind or confirm my suspicions.

Sounds like he might have been a leftist-in-republican-clothing when he was claiming to be a Republican. His approach to the plandemic, while claiming to be transparent and listening to all sides, must've missed all those people opposing the fnm narratives.

That’s the biggest piece of my problem. He reeks of liberalism, is NOT from here, and I feel his NGO’s are involved in keeping/taking the city down. I feel he is a fake AT BEST.
On the other hand, he sounds like he comes from a Christian background, Baptist, did missions...
And here's where a red flag went up as he apparently went to Burkina Faso for a few months when he was younger (and went to other foreign countries and liberal areas in the US as well). That just reminded me of the clown Walz having gone to China in his youth, for some reason. Patterns, I suppose. Young man, travel to foreign countries, returns and get involved in politics.
Right! It feels WRONG. He gives me a bad feeling when I see him around. Probably all just stems from being a fake Republican. I can’t get past fake people.
The NGO’s concern me most. They lead to others that lead to others…. If feels like something is being buried and I can’t find it.
It appears Based on his degrees that he went to college to become a career politician. How did he get elected in state house of reps at the age of 25? Right out of college? NGOs are hard to follow, you have to follow the money and depending on how many off shore accounts it flows into and through, that can be hard to track. My personal belief is that most NGOs are money laundering schemes.
Agree. One or two red flags maybe, but everything about him waves flags.
Here's another interesting connection. Barker appears to be fairly involved with the Rotary Club so I looked just briefly into it's leadership. From the link at the bottom --
"... Meet our General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer John Hewko has served as Rotary International’s general secretary and chief executive officer since 2011. A charter member of the Rotary Club of Kyiv, Ukraine, Hewko lives out Rotary’s mission, whether inside or outside the office. He’s immunized children against polio in India, represented Rotary at the World Economic Forum, and bicycled 104 miles (167 km) with Rotary members in Arizona, USA, to help raise over $50 million for polio eradication. "It’s an honor to go the extra mile in serving this great organization. I see Rotary as the original social network formed to exchange ideas and resources so we can transform lives. We’re a bold NGO that believed it could end a disease, and we’ve stuck to the cause for over three decades. That thought inspires me every morning." ..."
Ukraine, children, childhood vaccinations, WEF. That said I have no idea if there's any connection whatsoever between Barker and WEF, didn't see him on a list of their Young Global Leaders Alumni. It seems this area might be worthwhile to explore.

The hospital in the city partnered with the Commons Project Foundation (followed that down a deep deep hole). He pushed the vaccine/mask trash hard with them.
Why was he registered Republican?
