Rape OR incest??? What the actual F. You want abortion for people who are choosing to sleep with their brother/sister/cousin? If its not RAPE its consensual. Every time a lefty brings this up, I point this out. It's like they heard it for the first time. They are advocating for incest sex to not have repercussions from creating a baby.

From WordNet 3.0:
incest (n): sexual intercourse between persons too closely related to marry (as between a parent and a child)
A teenage girl cannot be and should not be held responsible if her mentally ill father seduces her and impregnates her. Other Christian conservative nations around the world agree.
That's the whole point of the OP's argument. What you described is rape.
I understand the OP's argument. But in this case, it's not simply either rape or incest. It's both-and.
I used to support that if a woman was raped, she could abort. But if you give the left an inch, they will take 5,000 miles. Once it got to the point where they wanted to abort a baby even after it was born, I was done. No abortations.
There is also the genetic argument. 3rd and 2nd cousins might as well be strangers, 1st cousins is still kinda iffy but not much more risky than a woman in her 40s having a child as long as those cousin marriages are few and far between (see Pakistan). Direct siblings or parental relationships on the other hand are incredibly problematic for the genetics of the baby. Can you really argue that a child who may suffer for a few days/weeks and ultimately die or suffer from horrendous debilitating conditions should be brought to term? This is one of the few arguments for abortion I'm sympathetic to.
All this abortion talk is really distraction from who is responsible. Male/Female create a baby. Here in Florida, the male can relinquish his parental rights and won't have to pay child support. Now the female has to get support either from her family or taxpayers. All because of sex out of marriage. Male has a moral obligation but not legally if he chooses and he can continue being a baby daddy as long as females have sex with him and if they get pregnant, that's the females problem because he didn't want kids anyways. No responsibility. Now the left wants the taxpayers to pay to kill the child because she's having sex out of marriage. My body my choice. Yep. Then why should us taxpayers pay for your choices and raise your kid when the father can walk away without paying anything..? Womens rights, what a joke.
Is that true? It's hard to believe Florida doesn't hold the father accountable. THAT is something you could be working on, getting the state legislature to pass a law requiring child support from the father.
It's true. I have a friend who stepdaughter got pregnant twice by her " baby daddy" boyfriend, can't get child support and he has 4 other baby mama's out there. Geesh.. its messed up
That's sickening. DEMAND DeSantis and company do something about that. Like you said, why should he skate while the taxpayers ante up? I feel sorry for the kids, it's not their fault. I hope they don't grow up to do the same.
I agree with you. The only thing I can think of is marriage is a contract between two people and they are bound to that. If you get pregnant on a one night stand and the male doesn't want anything to do with the child then that's the females problem because there isnt a contract agreement. I'm just guessing here
People do a lot of foolish sinful things. If the man didn't want a child, he should have taken measures to ensure that didn't happen. If you play, you pay. It's as simple as that. He has to take responsibility for his actions, but it is completely fair for him to require a DNA test to be sure it truly is his child. The child needs to eat, be clothed, be housed, have medical care, etc. etc. etc. He needs to be held accountable.
I agree with you. Even if it is his child, he can wave his parental rights and walk away. Too easy
Can taxpayers wave their parental rights to other people's children and walk away? I hope you take this up with your state representatives. Seriously.
whatever, it is not the innocent babe's fault
Agreed. But the people who just repeat this talking point are not thinking about what they are saying.
