Absolutely. I didn't get the impression any of them truly walk with God in relationship - even though it is common for these people to use certain language that gives an appearance of spiritual enlightenment. What spirits are they listening to? Yes, fools they are and it sounds like they are paying the price for their arrogance. False prophets.

Yes, but their astrology was more like a science. Interpretation is everything. Plus, there is no doubt that Daniel gave them a heads up to look for the signs. Daniel would have been aware of the Magi as there was a school for them. Some say Daniel could also be considered a Magi. At the very least he was educated in their science. Some also say that it was Daniel that financed their trip and the gifts well in advance as part of his estate that he left behind.
