If McConnell's little ploy ends up making Thune or Cornyn the Senate majority leader, Trump should publicly refuse to recognize him and announce that Vance is Pesident of the Senate and is Trump's man in charge in that chamber. if the Senate refuses to confirm his cabinet positions, he just needs to leave them vacant and bring in a shadow cabinet with his choices.
