Asking for my "horse" as he is very I'll and would rather avoid Dr's. I would assume if he is between a 200-250 lb horse he would simply follow that dosing?
The confusion I'm having is all of info I can find about dosing refers to pills not the paste. Also, from what I've read its a one and done for a while or can you stack on doses? What I read say's toxicity builds up after repeated doses but wondering if propaganda to deter use.
Last point I'll make another fren had pointed out in a different thread both Pancur and Ivermectin are made by Merck...I must admit makes me a bit uneasy knowing this. Any recommendations on dosing would be greatly appreciated; thanks frens!
You don't want to take both at the same time...
Pick one. Ivermectin or Fenbendazole
Dose to your weight via the notches. Some do it once a day for 2 weeks, others do more.
Give your body/liver a break for two weeks to center.
Choose the other one and repeat step #2 for 2 weeks, as required.
The very first cycle will most likely be the most effective, since everyone has parasites and rarely treat them. Hot pepper and tobacco nuts are not going to see as much of a change as others because they're already deworming...
Fenbendazole eliminates many more parasite types than ivermectin. I'd start there.
Strange i'm a big hot pepper guy so that makes sense. Ok; I got bad info as said only 1 application per month which sounded absurd. Good to know I can go for a about 2 weeks at dosing on notch. Thanks!
Monthly is the frequency for many animals maintenance...Heart worm for K9s is once a month for instance (ivermectin)
Essentially, the capsicum burns the living chit out of parasites and they retreat post haste...
Got it; just to be on the safe side for this it looks like I'm reading daily dose 2 weeks on 1 off etc.
But from what your saying that dose is a much more concentrated dose and thus once a month. Thank you!
Correct... once a month is typically a maintenance dose in animals. Dosage is important or they'll build up a tolerance.
Like in dogs...HeartGard is crap now and ineffective. Frontline works (for now) but is prescription only. Everything has a price as they say...
