Greenland is the largest island in the world, with a whopping population of around ~56,000 people, 90% of which are native American- not "white."
If my tax dollars are buying that land, it had better be land that will be utilized for the good of America, and it's citizens. Population 56,000 ain't gonna cut it for any kind of development purposes.
Greenland has natural resources, proximity to arctic oil fields, and strategic, and logistical value. It would be a good land acquisition but, it would require a large monetary investment, and lots of workers in order to make the land usable. Denmark has neither of the investment tools needed to transform Greenland into a modern economic powerhouse- the USA, led by international real estate mogul Donald J. Trump does.

Thanks for the rundown! My dumbass was conflating Iceland.
Any reason that you can see that it'd be beneficial? Or are people just excited wanting a new acquisition.
