When the New Zealand government asked the Maori tribes to make their claims on NZ's territory, in an effort to restore land to them, the Maoris claimed 400%+ of the land of New Zealand.
Which is to say that it would not surprise me if the tribes in that area (and, really, all over the USA) have conflicting claims on the land.
Here is something we fought to prevent for our women in the past. Lot more going on then movies reveal. Our Brother and Sister the Cheyenne agreed with us.
I wonder if there are any land disputes ? Or as simple as one pissed off the other at one time ? I would take it with a grain of salt.

Haha. A Haka. A "fierce greeting". A demonstration of strength and power.

P.S. The New Zealand "All Blacks" Rugby Team perform a Haka at all of their matches, and it is quite demoralizing for the opponents.
Thank you for sharing this. Was not familiar with this until today.
Fictional.
But also the conversation has a reason to it.
