U underestimate what it takes to implement trumps plan. Trump needs willing men amd women, that's the first requirement. Secondly pete has plenty of what it takes intellectually. It's not the rocket science people make it out to be. Mostly a desire to do the right thing. One of the highest levels of responsibility I had I wasn't fully qualified for and I surrounded myself with good Men and the major changes needed took less than 90 days. From there we built which for any large organization it never stops. Pete's job will be no different. The real value is he gets it, he's been in the position to have said "i wish the leaders would do this". Now he can. I kept that position for 8 years and then put the guy I trained myself into that position. He is in his 3rd year. The place is running great still and growing with the times.
Pete could've had a year to fix the VA - which he would've been exceptional at - while Flynn or Rogers did the dirty work at DOD. Then Pete could come in as the next SECDEF and have the opportunity to rebuild 2 agencies during this term.

I'm not disagreeing that Pete can do the job. I'm saying he should've been the 2nd SECDEF.
I explained why I feel that way here: https://greatawakening.win/p/199hc08obp/x/c/4ZGSfpbPV9Y
