You can't sell your Oscar. It belongs to the Academy, if you try and sell it, they will ask for it back. How you get around it, is you send it to someone to clean it and they give you a safety deposit. Then you never return the Oscar.

Don't they have to pay for that Oscar like a star on the sidewalk? At th very least, wouldn't they have to pay taxes on it like an Olympic medal? If it is taken back, do they get a tax refund?
