CIA Whistleblower Kevin Shipp reveals that Martin Luther King was murdered by the CIA.
While I do not doubt that this is true, I think its important to be circumspect and not simply take the word of one man because he is a whistleblower.
FWIW. I listened to the entire interview (full), and found it utterly believable. However, "reveal" is something that needs to be reserved for those with authority to provide facts.
I would use "claims" or "asserts" or "testifies", etc. Otherwise, we get in to a practice of accepting the testimony of a single person as the stone cold truth.
It's a small point, but I prefer to always be on the alert to how easy it is to slide into areas where confirmation bias, prejudice or belief take supremacy over facts. Avoiding that requires a certain mental and emotional rigorousness that steers clear of simply believing or accepting things because we believe them, but then treating them as facts.
While Shipp claims this, I would love to see when the information all comes out so that it can truly be 'revealed'.
When all the data is there, only THEN is it revealed.
