Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

I was doing some study on Belshazzar the last king of the physical Babylon before it was destroyed by Cyrus and came upon this fun fact. Those Babylonian Banksters are always somewhere in the background, even then!
"The absence of the name of Belshazzar on the monuments was long regarded as an argument against the genuineness of the Book of Daniel. In 1854 Sir Henry Rawlinson found an inscription of Nabonidus which referred to his eldest son. Quite recently, however, the side of a ravine undermined by heavy rains fell at Hillah, a suburb of Babylon. A number of huge, coarse earthenware vases were laid bare. These were filled with tablets, the receipts and contracts of a firm of Babylonian bankers, which showed that Belshazzar had a household, with secretaries and stewards. One was dated in the third year of the king Marduk-sar-uzur. As Marduk-sar-uzar was another name for Baal, this Marduk-sar-uzur was found to be the Belshazzar of Scripture. In one of these contract tablets, dated in the July after the defeat of the army of Nabonidus, we find him paying tithes for his sister to the temple of the sun-god at Sippara."

The Canaanites definitely found their way into Babylon, and were then absorbed into Persia later.
I think I found a bit of how they got into Babylon once, but failed to make a note of it.
From P[e]rsia, they somehow made their way to P[rus]sia, where they proceeded to wear the same freaking war hat in WWI.
I’d guess they went in through Ukraine/Khazaria, for some reason. Mag pointed me to the specific Canaanites being the Edomites, which seems sensible, as they were named as problems, biblically and in the end times, but I’m still looking for a good detailed historic source.
The Phoenicians is the connection there, they ruled the seas at the time and spread out through international trade.
"The name Edom signifies “red,” which is readily connected with Esau, who traded his birthright for red stew and then acquired the name Edom"
https://www.christianity.com/wiki/bible/edom-edomites-bible-story-meaning.html
"The root word for “Phoenician” is the Greek phoinikē, meaning “red.” There are two general theories as to why the Greeks called them “red men.” One is that the Phoenicians’ complexion was thought of as “red” to the Greeks. The other associates the name with the famed dye produced in the region."

“Adam” also means “Red”, as I’m sure you also know.
Two lines of red men, or a broken branch??
… dude, wait. “Red-necks” Communists are “Reds”
What is going on here.
Go look at the photo of the man in the painting of the Hyksos on their wiki entry.
I'll toss in another, native Americans know as the Redman. That brings us to Jekyll Island and the "Cannonite" alters.

Very nice fren. Thank you for the info graphic, I like it. Im under the belief the Phoenicians were the culprits of Northern Michigan's famous open pit copper mines that fueled the Bronze age.
