I agree that they are most likely beaten at this point, but thats not to say they have already played their trump card. Maybe they havent, and they have one shot left at total disruption. Or maybe thats not the case at all and they are completely out of ammo. Who knows.

I believe their Trump card was the 2 assassination attempt. They did not think the first one would miss, so they tried again but got caught.
