The Harris campaign reportedly donated large sums of money to media allies' organizations ahead of her sit-down interviews with them, according to FEC filings.

She had to entice them somehow to keep them from laughing in her face when she couldn't come up with a cogent response to their questions. Plus they couldn't leave in the middle of the interview when that much cash is on the table. Bribe to keep the interviewer motivated to look engaged and serious about Kamalas answers.
