You have my prayers. If down to one agent I’m assuming they have a PCR or culture result? HSV encephalitis and on IV acyclovir maybe? Regardless, I’ve seen many patients get back to baseline cognitive status from encephalitis. Takes time sometimes, but there is certainly hope. God bless u both.
