I worked on an episode of Unsolved Mysteries years ago where we had to blow up a jaguar in an empty field. I drove the picture car to the scene and I remember my husband saying even back then that jaguar was a piece of shit, lol.
I was working freelance then and it was the original series. I remember mentioning to the DP out of Miami that the host looked pretty good for his age. He said, "That's because we shoot him through a brick wall". LOL
A lot of us did double duty on that shoot. I worked in production but that time I played a Vegas cocktail waitress. The outfit was a little snug and I found out later I was pregnant with my first son. He's now 32.
Thanks for sharing. Unsolved Mysteries was influential to me as a kid, it came on just after Rescue 911, then it was my bedtime. I used to watch it with my folks and listen to Coast to Coast AM (we had long commutes to the family farm late at night). It's no wonder I still dig for the truth and ended up here.
About 20 years ago I was an extra on One Tree Hill. My boyfriend at the time got started doing PA work through it, afaik he's still in the business. My favorite memory was when we were shooting a party scene and someone came over the bullhorn to say "hey guys, just a reminder do NOT EAT the prop pizza, it's been sitting out for 3 days, just pretend to eat it!" LOL. I have 4 kids myself, cheers to you!

Very cool, that's still one of my favorite shows. Were you on the original series or the reboot they did later?

And in the production circle of life, that prop pizza might be recycled into prop vomit. I made some hairy vomit once for that movie The Chase.
