I really do think so + agree with you completely.

I can't back this up with quotes, but one of the core tenents of negotiation is to always start high - sometimes way high - and work your way down.

You can always negotiate down, but you can't negotiate back up.

With what I know of Trump, this was almost 100% planned this way.

Gaetz was picked because they KNEW it would cause exactly what it did; a massive melt-down tantrum among the left & even rinos.

Now, Trump will unveil his REAL pick, who WILL get confirmed.....
