It means "life sucks because I'm a wage slave." Blaming capitalism is sort of a lefty take on it.

True free market students realize that we're in a monopolistic crony capitalism, not a real capitalist economy. But most people don't think that far and simply blame capitalism because that's the pretend works we've all been in for a while now.
