"Know your enemy." It's a power play. Most of what Musk will be counteracting in the DOGE was installed there by George Soros, who has passed his ideology & agenda onto son Alex. Musk wants to "understand his goals" so he can counteract them better in the DOGE.
But that goes both ways -- so I imagine this meeting will be more like a chess game. Both sides checking out the other. Both will be looking for strategic ways to get past defenses.
Elon is reputed to be a genius. What exactly is known of Alex Soros?
Just look at his father, and you'll know all you need to know about Alex. Out of his four children, George handed the reigns to his empire over to his youngest son Alex. Obviously, he thought Alex best adopted his ideology.
Alex Soros doesn't strike me as in the same league as Elon. Soros got his daddy's money. Elon made it on his own. Soros does as daddy says. Elon thinks for himself. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at that meeting.
This gives more information as to who and what Elon will be dealing with at that meeting. If I was an advisor to Musk (LOL! As if he would listen to a housewife!) I'd tell him to make sure wherever this "meeting" takes place is on his own turf. If he can't arrange that -- make it on "neutral territory" chosen at the last possible moment.
He should definitely not go alone. He should take some bodyguards. He should have the conference room throughly checked before he sets foot in it. He shouldn't eat or drink anything he doesn't bring with himself.
What you've said above gives a pretty clear picture of what he will be facing. I don't think Elon should treat this as just a "normal business meeting". Given the information you've just provided -- I don't think this fellow is what I'd term a "normal businessman" and extra precautions are in order.

I agree!
