I saw that, but I have my doubts.
I had sleep apnea for several years, and the one of the affects of bad cases is a huge gain in weight due to never getting into REM (renewal sleep). I had to use a CPAP, and it helped start dropping the weight. I then started some intermittent fasting, and kept the weight dropping. About a month ago I just stopped using the CPAP without any problems.
I really believe the start of sleep apnea for me and for many others is late night eating that leads to indigestion. When you go to bed with a full stomach, and start getting acid reflux your subconscious reaction to stop the reflux is to hold your breath. That pattern eventually becomes the bodies set point, and from that point forward you are fighting sleep apnea and all the terrible health effects that come with it.
