RFK Jr. is going to open up psychedelics as a medical option, I believe this is his intention for depression, PTSD, etc.
We know the deep state has kept it illegal for some reason, probably $$.
For veterans who have treated their PTSD, I've read and listened to incredible results.
Ibogaine has shown great promise for vets, as well as mushrooms, and other psychedelics. Ibogaine is being used in Mexico and Canada for addiction, PTSD for vets and people, and addiction in general.
I keep hearing from Christians that psychedelics is opening yourself up to the spiritual realm and that it is absolutely forbidden by God.
To our bible scholars and strong Christians here, is this true?
This issue is very confusing to me because I believe God made these plants and natural medicines, it's HOW we use them that matters. If it can help so many people, and God made it, isn't it legal to use if not being used in a demonic way?
OR
Is this deception- Is this Satan trying to open a door into us with a promise to "heal" our worries, mental health, and even physical health- but is really Pharmakeia aka "witchcraft"?
Should Christians be open to using psychedelics to heal from trauma, addiction, PTSD, and depression?
Scripture references would be great if you have them, but would love to hear your opinions on it.
Too often, the Uninitiated conflate the topic of psychedelic therapy with that of the recreational use of psychedelic drugs. I don't state this to chastise, but merely to state a matter of fact with which to set the table here.
Some of us have been so WRECKED by Life that we reached out to something that is unlawful yet powerful to restore a person to the psychological state that enjoyed before experiencing emotional trauma. I speak as someone whose soul was saved by faith in Christ in 2003, and one who was healed beyond my wildest hopes and dreams during my first MDMA therapeutic session.
MDMA therapy has cleared Phase 3 trials here in the U.S., and has lingered in Phase 4 for something like two years. Clearing Phase 3 = safe and effective. Phase 4 is the marketing phase. So why hasn't it yet been cleared for Americans to use? My own experience in 2020 has some light to shed there.
Not only did MDMA therapy erase my depression and anxiety, not only did it make a huge dent in my C-PTSD, but it also cured me of my zeal to convert others to Christianity and my conservative positions. Before, I was an ideological zealot. After, I could respect why others landed where they did w/o feeling like it was my responsibility to turn them to conservatism. Same w/ Christianity. Ironically and surprisingly, both my walk as a Christian and my ability to have a rational conversation w/ people who believed differently from me SKYROCKETED as a result. And whereas before I felt guilt when I didn't speak to people (including strangers) about God or politics, I now had a freedom to listen to my intuition first to determine if this person is open to going there or not. In short, I could "Love my neighbor as myself" like never before.
If hurting people are allowed access to these medicines, minds will open to the truth of God, the truth of their enemy (Satan), and so much more, including their ability to see far more clearly the difference between those who desire to control them and those who wish for them to live and think freely.
Please read "Trust, Surrender, Receive: How MDMA Can Release Us from Trauma and PTSD" and visit maps.org to learn more, including the fact that MDMA and mushrooms were used in the 70s with great success right up until Nancy Reagan lumped these substances in w/ illicit street drugs.
In the proper setting, with the proper set (intention), MDMA therapy and Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) therapy have the potential of ENDING depression, anxiety, and PTSD for hurting people everywhere.
I've read many testimonials like yours, is why I asked this question.
I know there are risks. Some people really do not handle this stuff well. But I do feel like intention and done professionally, being used to heal ptsd and other mental disorders, there's nothing I've seen that does it better than these medicines.
From a Christian perspective, I've been wondering what the red line is. I know these plants are messing with the "veil' so to speak. But if it is healing people, isn't that the hand of God helping us?
I'm glad you found healing.
I sensed in your question an honest-to-goodness effort to better understand if we Christians are allowed to go there, and I'm glad to engage this topic w/ you.
Brain scans can show improvements w/ one's neurology (physical brain) after just one psychedelic therapy session. So long as it's viewed as medicine, and the intent is to heal from trauma, it's my fervent belief that we're allowed.
Some go back to the medicine on an annual basis (or more often than that) simply to get back to center. Why? Because life in this broken world is hard. Personally, I believe we wouldn't know of the life-changing properties of MDMA and psilocybin and the others used in psychedelic therapy unless God intended for us to know what an enormous blessing they can be.
Life is hard. But God provides.
I know this can help a lot of people, including myself as I have ptsd from childhood trauma.
I'm also a Christian and have tried prayer, commitment, etc. But I do keep hearing that this is entering the spiritual realm illegally, which is dangerous.
But with all of this research and that God created this plant, it's hard for me to believe there is wrongdoing if the desire is to improve your mental health, heal from trauma, addiction, etc.
It's when it becomes demonic and trying to contact spirits is where I can see the wrongdoing. But for the trauma therapy, getting inside ones' subconscious, is something I am leaning toward not being wrong.
Thank you for the details. I am glad you've improved your life. I'm considering ibogaine for my own issues, but nervous and fearful. Been praying about it a lot lately, still not sure.
