Well things just got a lot more expensive for her, because she had an accident in order to keep her license will probably have to carry sr22 high risk insurance, the length of time depends on the state. If she had just been stopped without insurance she probably would have just needed to provide proof of insurance to the state in order to keep her license. Source...it's my job to know this lol.

The fine for no insurance in California is about the same as a year of the useless pl/pd insurance
