How did your Thanksgiving gatherings go? Did everyone avoid just politics? Anyone see any changes in their families outlook? Did you have any sore losers not show up this year? How did this year compare to recent years?
Please share your wins and disappointments. I think it's important we see the progress we've made. Maybe for some here, nothing changed, but I think it helps to know there's hope. Those stubborn people in your circle are going to see they're outnumbered.

I personally had a great Thanksgiving with family. My few stubborn relatives seemed to have turned the corner. They actually said that if Trump had lost we would be in a very bad place. It seems to be the assassination attempt and the installing of Kamala that woke them. Much talk about all the red on the map of the USA too!
Spent the day with 2 brother-n-laws. One is a Trump supporter and the other is an extreme left Trump hater. We avoid talking politics when around him because it ends up in a fight. However, the Trump hater actually told my normal brother-law that he understood why he voted for Trump. That is HUGE for him to actually admit that!!
Yes, that would have been a very difficult thing for him to say. A huge win that he said it.
Wow..That really is a big step. Love hearing it!
Mother said,it was time for Nuremberg trials.....
Go mom!!
She only watches, fox news,so I thought that was a very good conclusion. Normal peo0le are coming around.
It really is. The Fox watchers have a long way to go. But I think their minds are primed to see deeper truths.
Spent with neighbors for a total of 4 couples. Wife and I are Super Maga, a couple with the wife being a GOP Delegate, hosting couple flipped to Trump this election and a couple with the husband being a Flaming TDS Leftard.
Mostly avoided politics but any minor Trump comment absolutely enraged TDS Leftard. Every time he popped off with retarded Trump hating comments, I shoveled facts down his throat hard and fast. Kept it brief but 100% fact. He even Googled everything I told him and then shut up until his next outburst. We hit immigration, economy, taxes, corporations, housing, social security, health care/insurance, auto insurance increases due to illegals getting licenses without insurance and everything woke in general.
He finally realized that I was much smarter than him and he shut up. Finally, the host husband asked him what had been said each time he raged to make him so angry. His answer was that he knows how wrong we are, and he just hates Trump.
I'm picturing this and laughing. Him raising what he thought were his slam dunk comments. Then being shut up with facts he Googled. Hahaha!!
Two day celebration for my adopted family, went to the Friday event. All Trump supporters. We had so much fun hanging out together, eating great food, laughing, karaoke, dancing, from 6 month olds to 70+ year olds. Joyous is the best way to describe today, but doesn't come close. Haven't been that happy and laughed that much in forever. Lot of love in my family. Married one of the cousins, later got divorced. I'm still family.
I don't ever hear from liberal "friends" anymore, and make no effort to reach out to them. Don't need anyone ruining my good times with their doom and gloom.
Wonderful Thanksgiving, no politics really, pure family time, did give my liberal niece some money for gas as a bribe to come over with the kiddos. (she really needed it, she is running short every month thanks to the Biden/Harris show) Clean kiddo who does work her butt off at random jobs but, has tons on her plate (and a new baby) to do every day. <- people like this, I hope Trump ends up up lifting a bunch, even if they dont see it yet. heh. My sis cooked (an og lib that didnt even vote because, while she cant stand the current democrat identity politics, she still cant bring herself to vote for Trump) and I brought the after dinner drinks and a couple side dishes. lol. Again, mixed crowd but, all FAMILY, we had lots of personal tales and old friends to talk and laugh about.
It sounds like things are moving in the right direction. Laughter is the best medicine. And we all need to heal.
I did get surprise answers from EVERYONE there to a question. Have any of you had one of those Matrix moments where everything slows down around you? Everyone had had them and it booted off an hour conversation with everyone explaining their personal situations where it has occurred. I had it happen a few times and it was just something I was curious about since it really makes you stop ta think on our perception of time on the daily vr when the slowmo with, what seems a long time to analyze and react accordingly to a situation that in RT is happening in seconds. Part of our yearly "Things to be thankful for" lol with out that slowmo, each situation could of turned out really badly.
Wow. I'm not sure I ever experienced that
Least harmful event was a paintball match where he(as a teen) heard the pop of the gun turn and then.. everything slowed down so he sat there and watched the paint ball heading to him and watched how its surface kinda buckled a lil with the wind pressure and it was wobbling lol.. then he just moved out of the way and it hit the tree.. I mean, it only takes a sec for that paintball to fire and hit but, he said it made him laugh at how silly the thing looked as it was flying toward him. lol. had all the time in the world to observe it, and move out of the way. Scariest was youngest sister when it went off the road and down a steep hill and was heading at a tree, things slowed down though, and she was able to correct the car to miss the tree and hit a barbed wired fence and thick bushes. Said she felt totally calm and her mind was calculating the amount she had to turn and hit then release break and .. again only took a few secs but, she had all the time she needed to avoid a head on with the tree.
We had about 45 people and only 1 was a never Trumper. We prayed over the meal and then my SIL busted out in the Trump dance and the golf swing! Kek! That led to many more doing the Trump dance, including myself. We talked about how the election was fraudulent. No way it was a 51-49 ratio. My nephew has taken a new job working for the federal reserve. Unreal. His cousin asked if it was a federal job and he had to say that it wasn't. I told them that it is not a Federal Institution but a private corporation. Most in the family knew that already. They talked about how far down the rabbit hole you could go. Someone said he picked a bad time to make that career move, and maybe he should look to the US Treasury for his next job. It was a great day and I'm stoked about how based my family is.
Love this!
Everyone went around the table saying what they were thankful for, and I simply said, "I'm thankful for the results of the election...." Screams of "No politics!!!" erupted, and I said, "That's not politics!" But was shouted down by the people I did'nt know there: five out of ten, with three kids included. I didn't know them and didn't think my friend had liberal friends, but I guess I was wrong. I didn't care at all!!!! That was ABSOLUTELY what I was thankful for. Sorry libtards!!
Haha!! Good for you!!
