The “full and unconditional pardon” comes weeks before President Biden leaves office. The president’s spokeswoman had denied for months that he had any intention of granting clemency for his son.

Has Hunter been convicted of anything? I always thought a person had to be convicted of a crime before they could get a presidential pardon. If not that means a president could just give a blanket pardon to a person for all the crimes they may commit in the future making them untouchable for any and all crimes no matter how serious.
