Elvis was strictly a cover artist that played other people's works.

Sinatra had ghostwriters too. I think in the early days of American pop music, there was less pressure to write your own music

A lot of legends were just great performers. I will take Sinatra and Elvis over Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen anyday
