Communists come in two species:

Idiots / fools / innocents who believe the compassionate-sounding "for the people" BS
Psychopaths and sociopaths who understand that the compassionate-sounding "for the people" bullsh-t is the best camouflage ever invented for Total Tyranny, because it enlists the victims into the army working to impose the Tyranny on the masses.

Yes. What I despair about are the idiots, because a lot of them are some level innocents who truly mean well and are easy targets for anything that sounds nice and compassionate, but have either never bothered to truly think how that system would, does, and has, work or worked in reality, or are unable to do that perhaps due to plain stupidity, or because they have invested so much into that ideology that they no longer can bear the thought that they made a serious mistake and have been wrong the whole time.

The psychopaths and sociopaths are easier to deal with...
