War on drugs failed because the government is part of the trafficking, gets a cut for “special projects”, and launders the money through the projects. Same with child/human trafficking, gun trafficking.

If they keep them illegal, it artificially keeps the.prices higher and allows them to compromise local LEOs with graft.

When I hear any local LEOs wanting to keep pot illegal my first thought is, "what's your cut?"
