To get people outraged they will claim anything. Trump isn't in office, yet. DOGE hasn't started yet. Plus, congress claims total authority over cuts. DOGE can find waste (and fight to see records each time) and suggest cuts and since it is a Trump administration even his own party will fight him.

Trump mentioned the 'pause' was going to make it so there'd be less opposition and fighting against his agenda. Apparently we haven't hit the part that makes that happen. Still waiting on the storm and/or precipice.
