The reason people are allowed to use food stamps on junk food is because the farmers growing the potatoes that make potato chips and the farmers growing sugar that make candy, and the farmers growing wheat that is turned into flour to make cookies all deserve to sell their products to buyers at the same rate that the farmers and ranchers who sell onions, chicken, and fish do.
What does one have to do with the other? There's no way to sell potatoes unless they're in chips? And we have to subsidize this shit because a few factory farmers who don't take care of the land want to ramp profits up to the maximum?
If growing a potato is hard, then getting a chicken to market is a nightmare, and the guy doing it probably deserves more for his effort than the spud chucker.
Whatever is not given back to the public to be spent in America is sent to foreign countries.

So.. how about.. we just fix this?
