Goliath didn't fear David, much to his detriment. And as much faith as young David had in The Lord, David picked up five smooth stones. Why five? If David completely believed in The Lord, why five stones?

The answer: Goliath had brothers. David didn't know how many would blindly rush ahead to avenge a brother's death. As it turned out, none did. I sometimes wonder what ever happened to those four extra stones?
