There are reports of drones staying stationary for more than 24 hours. No publicly known aviation power systems can do this. It will be interesting to see of McBeth mentions it.
I thought this was well, but then I discovered the Red Rover drone CBRN detection fleet technology. This system can stay airborne indefinitely via airborne power transmission for as long as the power repeater drone and Controlling vehicle can supply power. The system creates a drag net of drones that can search a large grid quickly, with detection of up to 1km into up to 3ft of soil or water. This is why the drones are flying low and in fleets, to maximize search area before moving to the next grid to search.
Wow. Of course, they are way ahead of the public knowledge level - and mine. I'm learning a lot about drones.
I think we're all learning. The red rover stuff I only know about because someone posted about it and I read the product website. I had no in idea wireless power supply even existed. I can't fathom that...... Then again, there was a time I couldn't fathom wireless Internet so...... 😂
Sounds like technology disclosure to me.
