I do disagree with the idea police in this country are the most patriotic people in our country. look at all the dc and capital police scumbags from j6 as an example of what I mean...
DC police are probably not hired to promote justice. There are many police around the country who, while not exceptionally oppressive or unlawful, are hired merely to create revenue streams with speed traps. There are many police who compliantly enforce unlawful statutes, believing them to be the law. There are surely still many police who value Justice and righteousness. There will be different degrees of missing the mark and promoting the law within every office and even within each officer.
Police, government officials, and ordinary citizens should not be separate classes of people, but equals, all before the law. We will get back to that, it’ll just take time.
I do think that probably the vast majority of police do consider themselves patriotic, they just don’t necessarily know what it should mean, or if they do, how they could promote those ideals within the system they find themselves.
Yeah, I think my reply covered that group. They’ll probably be on our side when this all shakes out.
It does amaze me that there are people who seem ready to sacrifice their lives for justice and freedom, yet still hesitate when faced with losing their paychecks or running afoul of that system’s “justice” mechanisms.
Not that I’ve braved them, just that it would seem they’d be better equipped mentally to do so. I’m quite positive that some of them hold their peace strategically, or trying to take advantage of infiltration being able to work both ways.
