I think they have been studying this in China--I read an article several years ago. They had small successes but hadn't gotten good enough to send a living thing. The main problem with this and replicators is the huge amount of power they would need.
I believe we are using Maglev trains underground now. I lived in an area that had low frequency sounds that were not constant. I turned off all the power and it was still there. Also, batteries would go dead super-fast. New batteries lasted about 10 minutes. Also, I rented the house out after I moved, and they had a massive water leak. $3000 bill for that month's service, no evidence of any water anywhere. An Olympic pool of water just disappeared with no trace. I looked for those maps and the latest one showed a tunnel had been built that went right under my town.
It bugged my Mom enough that she didn't want to come over. I sold the house as fast as I could because I thought it could cause a sinkhole, it still might.
As far as vibes, that house had pretty good vibes, even haunted by a tabby cat and the woman that had owned it. She had loved that house and when I fixed something or after I remodeled the kitchen she showed me with her perfume scent, nothing else. I asked her after remodeling the bathroom, I asked if she liked it and I got her scent as an answer. My neighbor came in once and the scent came and my neighbor was shocked to smell her perfume.
Oh hell Nah, I'm claustrophobic and could not enter an aluminum tube encased in concrete. The Panic Attack of the ages.
Especially if there was any kind of “traffic jam”!!
I'm sure Elon's Boring Company could quickly come up with a modern prototype of a viable pneumatic tube transport system.
Can't we just skip directly to Teleportation?

I think I'll take up horseback riding.
The pneumatic drive just might be safer than using vehicles equipped with lithium batteries.
Too expensive but we can afford all that money for everyone in the world we send our money to.
