After looking at and reading all the replies I can't tell you how much I appreciate what you said. I personally do not smoke. I brought this article/vid up only due to the nature of it possibly being a positive so far as helping someone, anyone who may have more knowledge than I about this. I only wanted to have a "discussion" on this topic i.e. discussion topic and have seen nothing contributing in the way I'd hoped for but from very few. I wanted and was extremely hopeful in hearing people if they'd seen any peer reviewed studies on nicotine or anything concerning it, both good and bad. The bias and someone just stating "i don't smoke, that's stupid, I don't agree etc. etc. does nothing for anyone in my opinion so far as learning anything, which I genuinely had hoped to learn/understand. That being said I do respect the fact that each every person has their own opinion and will not judge. That is not and was not my intent. I have no idea who this doctor is nor do I have any personal knowledge chemistry-wise of nicotine; that is why I posted this and asked. I will say this: I know 4 people who are close to me, some of which are family - they did not ever get covid and there are 2 who have never, I mean never even had the flu. I would've said 5 people at the beginning of my statement but - ... interestingly enough she stopped smoking about 6 months prior to covid. She ended up getting it, was hospitalized and got sent home after a while where she later died: about 2 months after being sent home. It honestly made me wonder. The other thing that was disappointing in more than one way was the people that could not differentiate smoking cigarettes from nicotine itself/patches. That was my entire reason behind trying to get a discussion going. I feel like this ended up being more of a poll of who smokes and who doesn't / who likes cigarettes vs who does not. -Not at all what I had hoped for nor did I think would happen here but lesson learned. I do really appreciate your input, more than you know. I hope that I have conveyed how much and appreciate the respect you've shown as well. Many thanks my friend. I hope you one day get to smoke and enjoy yourself as freely as you once did before all this became so much more of a controlled thing than not. God bless 🙏and thank you again. -cheers. 🍻 edit: I also wanted to say my Mamaw had Parkinson's. She raised me and my brothers, her and my Pap. It makes me sick inside knowing how she suffered. I had just hoped maybe that someone knew about this more than I so that it could help someone not have to go through what we did when we lost her. My Pap died not 6 months after her. Thank you again, I apologize for writing so much. I hope I conveyed why and how it was personal to me and in wanting to help others. Your kindness and everyone else that took the time to respond means an awful lot. Many thanks to you all.
You opened a floodgate...but I am so glad this information is being discussed. We used to regularly have wonderful discussions on health issues...but you being a "newbie" wouldn't remember. You have posted on 2 very pertinent healing issues and I am grateful that you took the time to do so. Frankly politics leaves me a bit depressed. But I take St. John's Wort so I am good...LOL...
