Android 15 Update: Adds satellite connectivity

I just got a notification on my phone to update the operating system to Android 15. It includes a feature to allow the phone to send and receive texts over satellite when cell towers aren't available.

Do you think this has anything to do with Big Voice or the EAS? Supposedly, Musk and SpaceX have a hand in this.

Also, is it a good thing or a bad thing to allow satellites to access my phone? I can't help but think about the Israeli exploding pagers.
