Wow does this ever piss me off. So these fat cat fed workers get a nice pension. They have not been enrolled in SS. So they have not been paying in, right????. Now they get SS benefits??????
I've been paying into Social Stupidity all my life!!! Will I then get a pension???????.
You are confusing CPRS which went away during the Carter administration with what Fed Employees get now
Way back when, Fed employees could see 80% pay (no SS) at retirement after some number of years
Today, Fed Employees get 1.1% of their best 3 yr average for each year they work. And they pay Social Security like everyone else. They have a program similar to 401K the smart ones contribute into. And they make an average of 25% LESS than their commercial counterparts.
Now, Railroad employees don’t pay into Social Security and rely entirely on pensions
