CPR capability for kids is important for parent and grandparent health. It is taught to kids as young as 12 per AHA guidelines. I’ve been an AHA BLS and HS instructor for a few years and have taught a few kids that age.
It’s been seen that compression only CPR is more effective than compression/breath CPR. Blood oxygenation is more consistent and it eliminates the hesitance to give breaths to a stranger.
